State in Motion

This is the basic pillar of the Dancing with Alina Vișan project, in which the therapeutic process is carried out in movement and the entire psychotherapeutic approach is orientated towards mind-body unity. Dance is included as a nonverbal language of authentic expression without excluding verbal therapy.

The emphasis is on observing the state from which we move as a prerequisite for sustaining or transforming it.

General objectives:

☀ practising and observing dance as a state in movement
☀ the practice of focusing on the body, on centring in oneself, simultaneously with focusing on the other and the space between us.
☀ real-time and timely observation of the body's signals about the limits of the resources we have - of patience, of emotional containment before we explode, overwhelm or collapse - so that we stay within the parameters of health.
☀ the week in review and emotional processing
☀ containing the full spectrum of emotions by respecting them, including their role and the signals they bring about lived experiences and practising selfawareness, selfpeace, in contact with specific bodily sensations
☀ awareness and demarcation between what is mine and what is not mine in a healthy relationship dynamic and practice selfownership
☀ self-observation in working with the circle co-regulation, self-regulation, resilience through self-care and selfawareness practices with a focus on inner resources
☀ Creativity
☀ observing the impulse of movement, the emergence of action formed from within towards outward expression
☀ observing the interrelation emotion - motion
☀ setting intentions for the week ahead
☀ observing questions, personal work themes, keywords and processes at work
☀ new perspectives on the themes proposed to be worked on in the movement

The work plan can be:

- personalised programme of intervention / recovery / social integration / psychomotor development;
- active meditation and guided body awareness.

Now, many people who don't know a lot about trauma think that trauma has something to do with something that happened to you a long time ago. In fact, the past is the past and the only thing that matters is what happens right now. And what is trauma is the residue that a past event leaves in your own sensory experiences in your body and it's not that event out there that becomes intolerable but the physical sensations with which you live that become intolerable and you will do anything to make them go away."
