Move with your mood. DanceWise

move with your mood.

MindBody in Motion practices

Start with your sense of touch and move towards your set goals for individual therapy sessions

Among the objectives that customers most often come to
individualised movement therapy sessions
are those related to
critic
against oneself
and brought to others.
.
As an alternative to the critical eye
is always
~ to a remote state transformation ~
neutral observer.
.
Your state,
is the one that literally takes us through every step we take
on the map of emotions and sensations
from criticism ↔ somewhere else
that we map through new, rehearsed muscular neural pathways
and brings us to this new place of a state from which to have
an outside view
somewhat calmer,
more detached,
quieter.
.
The critical eye brings states of rage or anxiety, it brings impulsivity to seemingly unjustified outbursts.

Like marking the state of this critical eye on a map of your emotions,
of the thoughts with which it interacts
and with sensations that you're aware of at first,
then you recognise them more and more often.
And if you recognise them early,
the chances of you not getting
the explosion,
the collapse
or emotional overwhelm.
.
Can this be an effective practice for people who are dealing with reactions or states they can't manage (yet)?
.
Could taming the critical eye be a path to more flexibility and elegance in both movement and behaviour?
.
I've seen the taming I'm writing about many times over the years,
and on time this week in a session that I enjoyed so much
to write now.
.
It started from touch.
.
What it would be like to start your therapeutic process
from the sense of touch,
from the skin to those sensations that sometimes come with discomfort, with crying, with difficulty, with pressure, with resistance.

Tactile sensations that after processing discomfort from past experiences in a safe and controlled environment
have the chance to find
new expressions, new ways, new experiences
milder,
more pleasant,
more natural in connection
and trust with another man.
.
.
.
We practise all summer under various workshop and module names this way of working with managing the states from which we operate.
on the move
through body-oriented psychology

I look forward to seeing you,
in dance and movement therapy,
Alina.
